Where Do I Start?

USA Triathlon The national sanctioning body for triathlon and multisport is really the first place you should go. While there are some events which are produced outside the sanctioning process, the resources and assistance offered by USAT to Race Directors are hard to beat.

Timing Services

Gault Race Management Gault is based in Flushing, Michigan, and provides Champion Chip® timing for a wide range of events and has particular expertise with multisport races.

3 Disciplines This company based in Fenton, Michigan produces a hefty schedule of its own multisport races each year and supports many others with everything from event planning to rental of bike racks, water course marker buoys, fencing, and more.

Classic Race Management Classic offers timing services for a long and growing list of events through the Midwest. In addition, CRM is also able to handle screen-printing and embroidery for your event premiums.

Great Lakes ChampionChip, Inc. Great Lakes ChampionChip is best known for providing timing services for cross country and road running events but has timed multisport events and has an interest in working with additional or new multisport races.

Awards/Medals

Recognition Inc. Recognition Inc. is one of your best options in the Midwest for trophies, plaques, medals, or any type of award. Based in Battle Creek, Recognition Inc. serves clubs, high school, college, amateur, and professional sports programs along with a long list of business and government clients.

Maxwell Medals Maxwell is based in Traverse City and has a long and well established history of providing excellent support to Race Directors with a wide range of stock and custom products.

Specialty Apparel

Chironsports Chironsports is based in Grand Rapids, and is simply unparalleled when it comes to production of high quality race premium apparel. Chrisonsports also produces custom design apparel for corporations as well as standard t shirts for events.

Titanwear Titanwear offers custom items which are perfect for a race premium starting with as few as 6 pieces. Titanwear also offers a full line of “of the shelf” multisport wear and accesories. Check them out to see what might work well for your race, club, or team.

Bib Numbers/Swim Caps

Runner’s World Runner’s World offers a hard to beat free service offering either race bags or bib/race numbers in return for the race management placing the publication’s advertising material in participant’s race bags. It is a great service and many races take advantage.

Rainbow Racing System Rainbow offers Race Directors an important range of products from stock and custom bib/race numbers, to course marking aids, and a lot more.

800ALLSWIM.com Otherwise known as William B. Hugg, this company based in Dresher, PA, provides a complete lineup of stock and custom swim caps for Race Directors to choose from with some of the best pricing available anywhere.

Swim Course Marks/Buoys

Engineered Textile Products EPI manufactures what has to be the hands down best ever swim course buoys used in multisport racing. The EPI tetrahedron “marks” as they are referenced for sailboat racing, are being used by a growing number of multisport events worldwide. They are visible and durable. What more do you need?

Race Announcing

Tom Demerly Owner of Bikesport Michigan and highly visible in the multisport community. Tom has announced among others, Iceman, Ann Arbor Triathlon and Duathlon, and Blue Care Network Tour ‘D Michigan. Tom is available to announce 2008 events, schedule allowing.
